Within our global Alliance many of our Associate companies are often featured in regional or local news with their specific expertise and experts at their companies. EnviroSolutions & Consulting (ESC) in Singapore and HPC AG Germany recently both had experts featured on local radio or podcast shows.

Singapore Radio ESG Feature with ESC

In an episode of Saturday Mornings with Glenn van Zutphen, co-hosted by the award-winning author Neil Humphreys, the conversation turned towards a topic that has increasingly become a focal point for businesses worldwide: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The episode, aired on April 13, 2024, featured Eeda Wallbank, a sector leader at ESC, who brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, discussing whether ESG should be viewed by organizations and their stakeholders as a form of risk management or merely a defensive strategy. 

Wallbank’s insights during the podcast emphasized the importance of understanding ESG not just as a checklist but as a strategic approach that can significantly influence a company’s long-term sustainability and success. She argued that considering ESG solely as an occasional activity might limit a company’s ability to leverage it for innovation and growth. Instead, when integrated into the core business strategy, ESG can serve as a powerful tool for risk management, helping companies navigate the complex landscape of regulatory requirements, societal expectations, and environmental challenges. 

As Wallbank eloquently put it, “The future of business is sustainable, inclusive, and governed with integrity. ESG is not just the right thing to do; it’s the smart thing to do.”

Since September 2023, Lukas Krödel has been site manager at the HPC Munich location. His career progression, from intern to site manager at HPC, was recently featured on the IRECC GmbH | Real Estate Lounge podcast.
